Date: Saturday December 5, 2020
Time: 10 AM- 11:00 AM
Location: Live on zoom or recordings available
COVID has brought significant challenges as well as silver linings for families. For many families juggling work, school, responsibilities, finding social outlets, managing money and taking time for our wellbeing can be very difficult. This workshop has been designed to bring to life how mindfulness will benefit your family. We will learn a few basics of mindfulness, engage in mindfulness practices and end with a family activity. The workshop will have a variety of activities that will include frequent movement and is intended to promote fun family interactions.
This workshop would be appropriate for ages 7 and up. All family members welcome!
Family Metaphor Poem
My family is a zoo
My mother is the tour guide who displays us to the public
My father is loud and hairy, often the main attraction.
Jean is a giraffe, tall and stretching far and wide.
Comedy drives my youngest sister, Jennifer, the monkey
If you knew her, you would have to laugh!
I am the zoo keeper, the one who cleans up all the messes. Yuck!
My family is a zoo, a crazy one at that!
